Spatial Econometric Study on the Impact of Industrial Upgrading on Green Total Factor Productivity

Under the background of high-quality development led by new concept in China, it is imperative to change mode, optimize economic structure, and transform driving force, industrial upgrading necessary way promote optimization structure achieve development. Based on data covering 284 prefecture-level cities this paper first calculates green total factor productivity (GTFP) each city then constructs three spatial econometric models (SLM, SEM, SDM) based four weight matrices empirically analyze impact GTFP. The results show that GTFP all China shows a fluctuating upward trend significant spillover effect. Both full-sample regional heterogeneity tests can growth GTFP, but promoting effect different regions different. Regarding control variables, has an inverted U-shaped relationship with development; additionally, human capital financial play role while population density plays restraining role. Finally, empirical findings, we propose multipronged policy differentiated variety complementary measures growth.
